What is two-factor authentication?
To protect sensitive data, you can enable two-factor authentication using a second factor when logging in to Workelo.
💡 Two-factor authentication is only available for users logging in with a username and password.
👉 It is activated at the company level by the Workelo administrator. Once enabled on the company account, it becomes mandatory for all affected users (see How to enable this feature?).
How to log in?
- The email used for two-factor authentication must match the user's email in Workelo.
- A window will prompt the user to enter the code received by email.
- Once the code is entered, the user will access their Workelo space.
Example (logo and colors based on your company):
When and how can the user configure it?
Once 2FA is enabled, the relevant users will have to configure their 2FA method at their next login.
This 2FA will then be required for every login.
💡 Configuration does not happen during the first login (account creation), which was secured, but during the second login.
Code validity duration
The code is valid for 5 minutes.
How to enable this feature?
⚠️ Prerequisite: Any feature activation request must be made directly by the project manager to their Workelo account manager.
- Two-factor authentication can be enabled on request by contacting your account manager.
- Two-factor authentication is linked to a role in Workelo.
- When requesting activation, you will be asked to specify the roles for which you want to enable two-factor authentication.
