(🙋 The concept of "Kit Manager")
💡 Best practices and use cases
✨ Overview
Kits are essential resources to ensure everything is ready at each key stage of your employees' journey.
A kit represents a physical item, a software access, or any other tool that you need to prepare or retrieve during an onboarding, an internal move, or an offboarding.
Why use kits?
- Optimal coordination: Automatically notify the responsible managers whenever a kit needs to be prepared or retrieved
- Centralized tracking: Monitor the progress of all your kits from a single place
- Zero oversights: Ensure all essential items are handled on time
⚙️ Create a kit
1. In the Libraries tab, click on the Resources page then "Create a resource"
2. Select "Kit"
3. Enter the name and the scope(s) of the resource. Once this information is filled in, click "Save" to continue.
4. Assign the kit manager(s). You can edit them later if needed by adding the desired person and removing those no longer relevant.
🙋 The concept of "kit manager"
The manager of a kit will be notified for each new journey for which they need to prepare that kit.
- They will have an action to validate in Workelo for each kit, in their "My actions" page.
- They can track progress from their "Analytics" > "Kits" page.
5. Choose the desired key moment(s), then click "Save"
🔎 Track kit preparation
From the "Analytics" > "Kits" tab in Workelo, track and manage ongoing kits. This allows managers and administrators to easily see which kits are pending and which have already been completed.

👉 Configuration tips
-
Create clear and precise titles
Use explicit kit names that directly indicate their contents
Example: "IT Kit - Laptop" rather than "IT Equipment" - Split your kits by responsible person
Create a separate kit per managing department for better tracking
❌ To avoid: "Full onboarding kit" managed by multiple people
✅ Recommended: "IT Kit - Laptop" (IT department) + "Access Kit - Badge" (Security department)
