✨ On Workelo, a quiz is an interactive resource that allows you to assess your employee's understanding at specific moments: at the end of a series of training sessions, during a role transition, or to raise awareness on important topics (safety, disability, company values, etc.).
Fun and effective, it turns a skill-building step into a motivating experience. The employee can retake the quiz as many times as needed until they reach the passing score you have defined — no pressure, just progress! 🎯

⚙️ Setting up a quiz
In your side menu, click on the Libraries tab > Resources, then click on Create a resource > Quiz.
1. 'Quiz settings'
Fill in:
The title that will be displayed to the employee
The availability environment(s)
🌎 To make your resource available in the shared environment, remove the already selected environment(s) using the small crossClick on the key moments that should benefit from this resource
2. 'Question editing'
For each question, define the answer format:
Single or multiple choice: check the proposal(s) on the left that are correct.
💡 This is useful for assessing factual knowledge or a broader understanding of a topic. For example, you could ask employees what the correct definition of an internal policy is (one correct answer), or which of the listed options are company values (multiple correct answers possible).Rank the proposals: place the answers in the correct order by drag and dropping the proposals using the small dots on the left. The display will of course be randomized for the employee.
💡 This is useful for assessing preference hierarchies or the relative understanding of a topic. For example, you could ask employees to rank the steps of a process in chronological order.Match the proposals: Associate elements together; the display order will be randomized for the employee.
💡 This is useful for assessing the employee's ability to link complementary concepts together, by connecting each proposal to its match. For example, you could ask employees to associate the different company departments with their descriptions, or to match geographic sites with their areas of expertise.
🙋 For each question, you can add a short description and/or an image (recommended dimensions: 500 x 300px) to illustrate it.
ℹ️ Make sure to save each question before moving on to the next one.
3. 'Advanced'
Fill in:
A short description of the quiz (optional)
A success objective (optional): The minimum score the employee must achieve (as a % of correct answers). Until this score is reached, the employee will not be able to validate their quiz. If this option is not enabled, the quiz can be validated by the employee regardless of their success rate.
Technical identifier (optional)
4. Click "Save"

💡 Best practices
Engaging titles: "How well do you know your company?", "Disability: let's change our perspective",…
Number of quizzes: 2 or 3 per journey; favor quizzes with multiple questions covering several broad topics.
Scheduling: A quiz at week -1 on company knowledge, then one at the start of their 1st week to raise awareness on a topic such as safety or disability, then a quiz to validate their knowledge on their role transition.
Number of questions: 4/5 questions per quiz maximum to maintain the employee's attention and motivation.
💭 Some inspiration
Knowledge quiz: assess employees' understanding of topics related to the company — its history, values, products, internal processes, etc.
Awareness quiz: raise awareness on topics such as disability or safety. People are not always familiar with the data related to these topics or the actions put in place within companies — it's a great opportunity to address them and provide additional answers within your questions!

If your account has access to this feature, you can automatically generate your list of questions from a web page or an existing Content resource in your Workelo library.
When creating the resource, select the desired category:
- Company discovery: To help new joiners find their bearings.
- Quiz on your values & culture: To share your company culture in an engaging way.
- Safety quiz: To ensure the rules are understood.
You simply need to review the questions and answers generated, as well as the resource settings as described earlier in this article.
